Barriers

“I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought.” – 1 Corinthians 1:10 Our deepest need is to bond deeply with other people. However, the greatest barrier to bonding deeply is our often unknown or unrecognized deep feeling we are not worthy of belonging, and not worthy of love. There are some things about ourselves that we really like, but there are also all of these other things that most of us will keep hidden — things that we think are shameful, embarrassing, and not worthy of love.
