“But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” – 2 Corinthians 12:9 So let go of your hiding — you have nothing to be ashamed of. I find that when we, as people of God, are always hiding our imperfections and our sins, we’re creating a performance that makes it harder for others to talk about their imperfections and their sins. I think it’s a bit like this: imagine you are in kind of a bad car accident and the ambulance took you to the hospital, and you got to choose. You could either have a terrible injury on the outside of your body, or a terrible injury on the inside of your body. What would you choose? You’d say,
