Beware of the World’s Wisdom

“For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: ‘He catches the wise in their craftiness’ ” – 1 Corinthians 3:19 Every society has its elites—academic, business, and religious. Jesus confronted the religious elites of His time, highlighting how God often used the unlikely to challenge established institutions. I was honored to be among incredibly intelligent believers, including astrophysicists and renowned scientists from top universities, along with journalists and theologians. I suppose someone informed them that I was a theologian, so I received my invitation! In class, we spent days discussing the universe and its expanding galaxies, which constantly amazed me. When I asked, “What is the universe expanding into?” I was told it expands into nothing, which puzzled me.
