Carry On the Work of Love

“For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” – Psalm 100:5 I still remember when my grandfather, Dr. Schuller, who founded this ministry, was dying and I was visiting him in the hospital. One day, he was lying in bed while I sat in a chair next to him, reading a book. Suddenly, he woke up, shot up from his bed, looked at me, and exclaimed, “Bobby!” I responded, “Hey, Grandpa.” He then said, “My grandson!” I replied, “Hi, Grandpa.” To my surprise, he added, “I love your haircut!” After that, he went right back to sleep.  Reflecting on that enjoyable story, I believe my grandfather needed someone to continue the work of love he had initiated.
