Christ Paid the Price

“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24 Yesterday, I shared from John 3:14-15, “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him.“ This highlights the atonement on the cross. First, we know that Christ died for us, ending the need for sacrifices and providing eternal forgiveness. That’s amazing! Secondly, in Christ crucified, especially when we compare it to the bronze serpent, the cross also heals. While we may carry scars from our past sins—things we’ve said or done—the cross can provide healing from those wounds. A great price was paid when the Son of God was crucified.
