Extra Grace and Favor

“Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” – John 1:16,17 Recently, I encouraged you to ask the Holy Spirit to help you stay sensitive to God’s heart and instructions, so that hidden sins don’t quietly take hold in your life. Many are familiar with King David, a central figure in the Bible whose life continues to captivate people. What stands out to me about David is not that he was perfect—he had many flaws and made mistakes—but that, unlike many other Old Testament kings, God seemed to show him extra grace and favor.
