“Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him.” – 2 Corinthians 2:7,8 Forgiveness always precedes miracles. Years ago, I was studying miraculous manifestations of supernatural power, and I had a revelation: Whenever you see the Lord move in a mighty way within the Scriptures, that move is nearly always preceded by an act of forgiveness. Somehow letting go of an offense opens up the gates of God’s power!  Later on, as I was preparing to give a sermon on miracles, I heard the Holy Spirit say to me, “Bobby, tell them to forgive their bodies.” Although it sounded strange to me at first, I spoke that word in obedience, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” – Psalm 139:14 This may sound weird to some of you, but as we talk about forgiveness, I want to ask you to do something you probably never have before: forgive your body. Do you ever feel angry at your body? Maybe it’s not cooperating with you or not doing what it’s supposed to do. Perhaps you’ve been battling chronic illness, a long bout of sickness, or you are noticing yourself start to age. It’s important to recognize that whatever is causing you to feel frustrated toward your body has the potential to cause you even greater harm, because bottled and trapped feelings lead to bad health.
