Fresh Vision

“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” – Mark 10:27 When we have a fresh vision for our life — something new, something that we’re excited about — it could go anywhere. There’s something about the soul that comes alive. Because even if we don’t do it, it still brings us life because we’ve become people of possibility. We’ve become ‘what if’ thinkers. We become dreamers, and that’s what God has called us to. God wants to do something great in your life. But very often, we disqualify ourselves. You’re not disqualified. You’re not disqualified. You’re chosen, you’ve been given everything you need and you’re not too anything to not do what God’s called you to do. It’s His power anyway, right? Prayer God, give me the fresh vision to see things the way you do.

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12 It is winter. And when we go into winter, things get darker and people tend to get negative. I have heard pastors, including myself, say that Christmas is the season in which suicide is at its highest. But I found out that is not true at all. It is a totally old wives tale. Actually the highest season of suicide is spring. Christmas is one of the lowest seasons of suicide because people are getting together and connecting deeply with one another. They have a break from work.
