One Great Need

“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted.” – Job 42:2 There is one thing at the root of every problem in the world – connecting with others and purpose. It is at the root of all sin, it is at the root of war, it is at the root of why our political parties can’t talk to each other. Be Belovedly You

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10 The enemy’s goal is to rob you of your purpose, your nakedness, your vulnerability — to rob you of being truly you around others. God’s goal — through the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ — is to remove shame, fear, pretending. He wants you to be belovedly you. He wants you to act like a loved child of God and to lean into your flaws and imperfections and say, in spite of all those things, I am going to work for God’s purpose to the redemption and the good work of his creation. Prayer Enable me, God, to embrace my flaws and to do good work for you. Reflection What are your imperfections?

“Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.” – Ephesians 5:7 Maybe today you feel powerless. You feel like you don’t have the ability to do any of the things God has called you to do. But you do. God has given you His name. The most powerful name there is. Carry it.
