Gratitude Not Entitlement
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 I think if you become the type of person who roots for others, that you’re setting yourself up for a major success. So become the kind of person who kills entitlement. And the way you kill entitlement is with gratitude — by becoming a thankful person. You know you can’t be entitled and thankful at the same time, did you know that? Nobody can say, “I am so grateful for my life but the world owes me something.” The more grateful you are, the more your mind changes to recognize the blessings and the good things that God has given you. Prayer Help me, God, kill entitlement in my life. Reflection Have you seen your mindset change if you focus on being grateful?
