Don’t Get Lost in Temptation

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13 Today, I would like you to consider this: Long-term goals are easily lost by today’s temptations. The Apostle Paul shared three areas of temptation. The first is idols. What does this mean for us today? I define Idols using the classical meaning of materialism, which is when people think the only thing that exists, matters, or is worth their attention, is only what they can see or feel. “They spoke against God and against Moses, and said, ‘Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread! There is no water! And we detest this miserable food!’ Then the Lord sent venomous snakes among them; they bit the people and many Israelites died.
