Keep Moving Forward

“I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:14 Here is what God asks of those of us who believe: keep moving. Keep moving forward. It is remarkable how much of the Bible’s message is rooted in exactly that — pressing ahead, refusing to stay stuck. Consider forgiveness. What is forgiveness, really? When you forgive someone, you are declaring that, despite the hurt, despite the wrong, despite the betrayal and the injustice, you are choosing to move on. You are refusing to let the past have the final word.  Forgiveness means letting go of the grudge and stepping forward into life. And when you receive God’s forgiveness — or dare to forgive yourself — you are making the same declaration: I am moving on. Yes, I failed. Yes, I fell short. But one mistake does not
