Leaning Into the Will to Live

“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” – Philippians 3:12 It is a necessity to lean into life! I remember when my daughter Haven was born. Often, the stories parents tell of the birth of their first child can be chaotic and a little crazy — and Haven’s was no different! Amazingly, her due date was Christmas Day, but she arrived two weeks early. Due to her early arrival, no one was around. The memory is still fresh. I recall Hannah saying, “My water broke.” I asked, “Are you sure?” Yep, she was sure. It was two o’clock in the morning and I rushed her to the hospital. As Haven was born, it was an amazing and turbulent experience, but also a tremendous blessing.  This
