Love and Victory

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16 God adores you, did you know that? He loves you. You can take the greatest, kindest, best father on earth — and Jesus almost says — he is evil compared to how good God’s love is for you. Nobody wants you to go to heaven more than God, nobody loves you more than God, nobody’s on your side more than God, and nobody is saying better things about you than God. Now I know if you grew up in church and you’re a theologian, the temptation is to hear this and ask, What about things like sin, and judgment, and hell, and God’s wrath.
