Our Speech

“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:4,5 Many of us who have grown up in church may be familiar with the well-known phrase, “Be not just hearers of the Word, but doers of the Word.” As I reflected on this, I initially had a different title for this message. However, I realized that this guidance isn’t just about doing what the Word says in general, but specifically about how we use our speech—how we respond, communicate, and express ourselves in our daily lives. The words we choose and the way we listen have a significant impact on those around us, shaping our relationships and our character.  In context, being doers of the word
