Our Supernatural Defender

“ ‘Come, Zion! Escape, you who live in Daughter Babylon!’ For this is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘After the Glorious One has sent me against the nations that have plundered you—for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye.’ ” – Zechariah 2:7,8 Happy Independence Day or 4th of July! It’s wonderful to celebrate the freedom of America. I pray you have a safe and celebratory holiday with friends and family.  After the Holy Spirit spoke through Zechariah to assure the people that they were safe to rebuild the temple in a city without walls, He gave another impassioned invitation to those who had yet to come home. Since Babylon was the only place many of the Jews had known, a few of them had chosen to stay behind. Yet God continued to woo them, this time with a promise that He would supernaturally guard and bless them.
