A World Full of Possibilities

“Jesus looked at them and said, ‘With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.’ ” – Mark 10:27 We all have people in our lives who impact us, and long after they’re gone, we carry their spirit and memories in our hearts; in many ways, they mold who we are. I think fondly of my grandpa Schuller’s impact on me, and I attribute part of who I am to him. Essentially, his dream was to bring the message of a loving, hopeful God in a world full of possibilities for you, just as you are, to millions — and he did it! I remember at my grandma Schuller’s funeral being seated next to Pastor Rick Warren, whom I had never met. He was head of Saddleback Church, one of the largest churches in the world. Waiting vs. Grinding

“Be patient, then, brothers and sisters, until the Lord’s coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop, patiently waiting for the autumn and spring rains.” – James 5:7 My dad taught me to surf when I was a teenager, and though I don’t do it very often and I’m not terribly good at it, I really enjoy it when I go. Interestingly, something a lot of people don’t know about surfing is that it requires a good deal of patience, because there are extended periods of waiting involved.
