Preordained by God

“Then Peter said, ‘Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.’ ” – Acts 3:6 Yesterday, I examined the story where Jesus enters the temple, angrily clears out the money changers at the Beautiful Gate, and begins healing many people. I wondered why the man who had been there for 30-plus years and was present that day did not receive healing. It was preordained by God that Peter and John would heal for a purpose. On Palm Sunday, before Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection, salvation wasn’t available. However, after Peter and John raised a man from the dead, five thousand people accepted the Lord Jesus Christ and were saved.  It was Peter and John’s task to be the vessels of this healing, and yes, we can say that Jesus did heal him.
