Small Steps of Faith To Believe for Bigger Goals

“The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’ ” – Luke 17:5 John Wimber, the pioneering pastor of the Vineyard movement, emerged from the Jesus Movement with a desire to witness a move of God similar to the miracles described in the Bible. He firmly believed that such experiences were possible. I recently met an older friend of John Wimber who shared some stories about what it was like to be part of that world. While we know of the numerous miracles that were performed through the Vineyard, they began with something quite simple: a belief in God’s ability to heal elbow pain. It’s interesting to note that they started by specifically praying for the healing of elbows.
