How long have you been with the ministry? 2 years and 8 months. What do you do for Hour of Power? I am a Ministry Ambassador, where I build and cultivate relationships with our donors. How did God bring you to the ministry? I had been working as a freelance fashion stylist and working part time for Banana Republic as a Visual Merchandiser also while in Bible college studying Theology and Biblical Studies, but I felt this strong desire that God was calling me into ministry. I had no clue where to look or where to apply. I just remember one day, a friend of mine reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in working for a church. I knew it was God! All I had was a desire. I didn’t ask or pray, God just opened up the door for me. What is your favorite

How long have you been with the ministry? Just over a year — and I have loved it! What do you do for Hour of Power? I do Hour of Power Communications. If we need writing, social media, photography, or blogging, I’m the gal! How did God bring you to the ministry? About a year and a half ago, I was working at Disneyland I needed a roommate fast. I ended up finding one on a kinda sketchy website, but she was awesome and a Christian. Soon after, she referred me to my current job. It definitely felt like a “God thing” for me to be placed in a house with her, and later at Shepherd’s Grove! I never thought I would be working in ministry, but now looking back, I can see it was all part of His beautiful plan! What is your favorite part about working here? I

I first came to work with Bobby Schuller, when I was hired at Tree of Life about a year before Tree of Life merged with Shepherd’s Grove. The funny thing is, I originally met the team when they reached out to me to see if I could help find them a worship pastor. After attending the church and falling in love with the community and vision of the church, my wife and I decided that maybe I could be that person to step into the role of Worship Pastor at Tree of Life. The rest is history. What is your favorite part about working here? My favorite part about working for Shepherd’s Grove is having the

How long have you been with the ministry? 10 years (Technically since March, 2008. Not made “official” until June, 2008) What do you do for Shepherd’s Grove? I am the Facilities Manager. I directly oversee the Security & Facilities departments and indirectly oversee Maintenance, Utilities, and Event Coordination.   How did God bring you to the ministry? I discovered an ad at Santa Ana College for a minimum wage job working part-time in the Gift Shop/Bookstore at Crystal Cathedral. It paid too little money, was not enough hours, and was NOT the type of job I was looking for but God told me to go for it because you never know where it will lead. When I went for the interview, the Human Resources lady told me she thought I’d be much better suited for a position with the Hour of Power called “Detail/Correspondence”, which DID pay what I needed and

Our Staff Gets Festive This Christmas … With Their Doors!

During this Christmas season at Hour of Power and Shepherd’s Grove, we enjoy celebrating as a staff. In addition to our staff Christmas party, we had some friendly competition between offices to get into the spirit. Our different departments participated in our door decorating contest by decorating either one or both of the doors to their offices! We had some very creative doors that we want to share with you! Jim Dawson was our special guest judge for the occasion, and he decided that it was a tie for the winner.  Our HR/Payroll and Communications offices both won, and will enjoy a pizza party with Bobby! We hope your Christmas season is as much fun as we have here on our campus! If you’re at Shepherd’s Grove this Christmas, swing by to check out the doors!
