Take Your Stand

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” – Ephesians 6:13 As I continue to reflect on the spiritual battles we all face, let’s focus on Ephesians 6. Paul is writing to the church in Ephesus while he himself is fighting a spiritual battle—imprisoned in Rome. He addresses a city familiar with warfare, home to many Roman soldiers and citizens. Paul urges them—and us—to find strength in God. Ephesians 6:10 says, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.
