Temporary Pleasure vs. Lasting Tranquility

Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.” – Psalm 34:12-14 Yesterday, we talked about how we have a fundamental need to be good and how doing so is only truly possible through rebirth in Jesus Christ. Today, I want to discuss why I believe we possess an innate desire for goodness. I think many of us go through life with the perspective that we should live uprightly because it’s what God wants from us and because society needs our example of righteousness. While this is certainly true, I’m convinced that there’s a bit more to it.
