The Accuser of the Brethren
“Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night.” – Revelation 12:10 Shame is this thing that says I’m not worthy of love and belonging. It says I’m embarrassed of who I am. I’m embarrassed of my sin. People think I’m this one thing, but really I’m this way. I can’t really do much more than I’m doing now because well just look at me. I’m not where I should be. Look at my peers. There’s this sort of inner embarrassment that comes with shame that should never be there. You are chosen, called, loved, blessed, needed.
