The Choice of Righteousness

“Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.” – Proverbs 21:21 Not too long ago, a very famous and well-known pop singer—someone whose music we all listened to, a great guy, a wonderful man who made millions of dollars—was lying on his deathbed. Despite his wealth, in his final hours, his heirs and family members gathered around him, not to comfort him, but to argue and yell at each other about who would inherit his fortune. There he was, surrounded by people who were supposed to love him, comfort him, and mourn his passing. Instead, all they cared about was money. The situation became so heated that security—or even the police—had to remove some family members from his room as they argued over a lump sum, perhaps thirty million dollars, that was to be distributed. What were they missing? Was what they did evil? I have no hesitation
