“Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” – 1 Timothy 5:8 Not only am I a pastor’s kid, I’m the grandson of a pastor. I also have a great grandfather who was a pastor as well as a great uncle and many siblings who have been in ministry. That said, I know what it’s like to be a “PK,” and I’ve established a special kinship with others who are in the same club. As I have gotten to know the children of pastors, I’ve discovered that the problems they face have to do with feeling that they are second to their parent’s ministry. The lack of attention in favor of the church can be perceived as hypocrisy on the part of the child, and the resulting psychological wound can lead to rebellion. For
