The Promise of the Kingdom
“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” – Mark 1:15 As you allow the Holy Spirit to inspire your thoughts, and as you speak, you are truly seeking the Kingdom. Don’t be overly loyal to your feelings; relying solely on them won’t lead you where you want to go. Instead, be loyal to the promise of the Kingdom—a greater, richer life made possible by God’s Spirit within us today. Seeking the Kingdom means serving and loving others, and the more you serve, love, and give, the more abundance you will invite into your life. Anxiety, at its core, is being consumed by your own struggles and worries. For example, if you feel anxious in social situations and find yourself at a party, instead of dwelling on your discomfort, look for someone else who might be feeling anxious too.
