The Two Types of Stress

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” – Ephesians 2:10 There is actually clinical research to support what I’m about to share, but I also believe it is a scriptural principle that stress in life can be divided into two categories. Distress is the first type. This is the kind of stress that causes you to break down, crumble, give up, and quit. Then there’s the second type, called eustress, which is the Greek word for good or positive. This is not the kind of stress that breaks you, it’s the kind that makes you better, even though it hurts.
