Undaunted Intercession

“And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.’” – Luke 11:7,8 In these strenuous times, it’s more important than ever to remember that God responds to our fervent and persistent prayers. Yesterday, we looked at the parable of the unjust judge and how it teaches us to be relentless in hounding Heaven for divine help. Interestingly, the topic of undaunted intercession is so important to our Savior that He gives us yet another story about it in Luke 11. This time, it involves a man, a visiting stranger, and a neighbor.
