“Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.” – Isaiah 1:18 As we go through life only showing our best and not our worst — just like you would on Facebook — a hunger will begin to develop in you. Now, this hunger can be partially satiated through entertainment, buying some new clothes, having a great meal, having a glass of wine, or doing good things. However, we realize that although we are distracting ourselves from a sense that something is missing in our lives, this is the beginning of addiction and compulsive behavior. In addition, it makes us miss out on the deep friendship we can have. We have this void that we call boredom, but it’s actually emptiness. And God
