We Can Reframe
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:2 To work towards discovering your life’s purpose and blueprint, start by setting a big goal. Next, establish a smaller, achievable goal. The third crucial step, which is vital for maintaining the determination needed to reach your destination, is to reframe your setbacks. Hannah shared a story about a man in church who loved singing a song about how God supplies his needs. He would dance and sing, proclaiming, “He supplies my needs! I have all I need!” Yet, on the way home, when his wife asked to stop for shoes for their son, he panicked, saying, “We’re out of money! We can’t afford shoes!” Here you see two frames of perspective.
