What Manner of Love

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.” – 1 John 3:1 Yesterday, I shared a statement that Satan despises—and that’s exactly why I say it often: you are immensely loved by God. He also hates it when we share the gospel, the good news that God so loves the world! Additionally, the Bible contains many wonderful descriptions of who you are. The Bible boldly proclaims, “Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.” Psalm 17:8 confidently declares, “Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.” This means that anyone who harms you is, in fact, harming God Himself!
