“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”

– Hebrews 11:6

Our journey in life includes taking chances and risking the unknown. It’s doing things you didn’t think you could do before, and courageously taking risks, because even if you fall, you know the Lord will catch you. His arms are very strong. His will for you is good. His eyes are full of favor, life and love for you, right now.

I saw an example of taking a risk when walking to church one day from my house. I noticed a little girl who was maybe four or five, on the monkey bars. Just behind her with hovering hands just a few inches from her waist, was a young dad. This parent knew if she was going to fall, he would catch her, and she would be fine. We experience times in life just as this little girl taking a big risk. There are times when you actually can’t see God as you are moving, but you know He is there, and if you fall He will catch you. And you may still become fearful, but at least you know, “I can try one more time because I know He’ll catch me if I fall.”

Friend, life with God is good, it is worth every personal risk you have taken and will take in the future. If you want to please God in life, have faith, walk by faith, live by faith and make your decisions and take risks by faith. Pray with faith! Do everything you do with faith. Everything! Faith pleases God. If you want to please God, please Him with faith!

Father, give me wisdom and faith to take risks. Help me to know I don’t have to be fearful because you are with me.

How do you walk by faith? What is an area you desire to take risks in?
