“Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.” -Psalm 25: 2-3

As Christians, we must continue to thank God even for the little things. Being thankful to God reinforces intimacy with the Holy Spirit. It acknowledges God’s blessing and connects us to him. You’re enjoying a sunset at the beach all by yourself on a warm evening, saying, “Thank you, God.” I bet you felt more connected with God after thanking him, right? As we thank God, it connects us to him. And when we say thank you to people, it connects us to them, also! Be a grateful person — don’t just feel it, say it out loud. Thank God, thank your family, thank your friends. These things open up our body and connect us deeply with our friends, our colleagues, and most of all, our Lord. Expressing gratefulness keeps us in a place of faith, hope, life, fresh vision, and favor. So keep doing it — you are. You’re being grateful and that’s so good.

PRAYER: Thank you, God, for your beautiful world. Thank you for experiences, memories, good times, and good people.

REFLECTION: How can you thank someone in your life today?
