The Call of Christianity

“This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.”

– 1 John 4:13,14

For the ancients, it must have been very hard to understand what the human spirit was like. It’s something that is now a lot easier for us to understand. In today’s world, we think in terms of hardware and software. As a metaphor, hardware could be compared to your body, while software could be compared to your human spirit. A great analogy that applies to today’s great dilemma is that our spirit, “our software,” has become “corrupted.” We have some malware and some viruses that have compromised the software and need to be reformatted.

It is the call of Christianity to have a new beginning. You can get a fresh start today by trusting and relying on Christ. Jesus Christ sacrificed His life for us so that we could be forgiven, at peace with God, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and free from sickness and death itself. Now Heaven can become our home, and the church becomes a part of our family and our community. Every child born without a father or mother has a father in the Lord, a brother in Christ, and a sister in the church. Take advantage of this great opportunity; don’t let it pass you by!

Friend, today Christ is near and ready to receive you! In this moment, decide to follow Christ and be at peace with Him. Please accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord today. Invite Him into your heart, ask Him for forgiveness of sins, and your life will be changed. A new beginning is waiting for you as you embrace the call of Christianity!

Father, thank You for bringing Christ close to me. I choose to follow Him and to live at peace with Him.
