“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
– Matthew 7:13-14
![]() Jesus lays before us, in the Sermon on the Mount, two roads. First is the path of least resistance. It is an easy road with a wide gate that He says leads to destruction. The second is the narrow road, which is the difficult road that leads to life and is rarely chosen. So choose that one. You see, the path to life is the most difficult path. It’s the one that, emotionally, we often don’t want to take. But God is telling you today to choose the path that is right, even though it’s difficult. |
Prayer
Loving Father, please help me to choose the path that is right. Help me to carry through, even when there are difficulties.
Reflection
Are you following the wide or the narrow road?
