The Lord’s Joy Comes with Ease

“If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”

– John 15:10-12

Today, I invite you to be a joyful person! God loves you so much, and so do I. Maybe you’ve encountered difficult trials lately, but God can restore your joy! God offers us absolute joy that is playful, full of laughter, fun, and fantastic. The Bible includes joy as part of the fruit of the spirit. The fruit of joy is one of the ways Christians can show others that we are genuinely connected to the heart of God.

Initially, I thought about sharing two or three tips with you on how to be more joyful, but as I prayed about that, I thought about another approach that could be even more beneficial. I believe that so much of our joylessness comes from just trying harder. The Lord’s joy comes from ease and an inner ability to be carefree and lighthearted. So that’s what we need to get back to doing. The Bible says in Matthew Chapter 11: “My yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Friend, I pray you have been blessed as we have explored the importance of experiencing God’s joy in our lives. God is inviting you to trust Him in your life circumstances and future, even though you don’t have all the answers. Release your faith that God will bring a breakthrough in your life. Invite the Holy Spirit to bring you an easygoing lightheartedness in your life, and God’s joy will come out of that.

Prayer

Father, thank You for the love you have for me. I ask you to restore Your joy and laughter in my life.
