“But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. ‘You of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?’ And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”
– Matthew 14:30-33
![]() I wrote this in my journal recently and I want it to be true for me and I want it to be true for you. I wrote, “The more you can see, the more you can be.” If you can just see it, picture it, hold it in your mind, treasure it, write it down, believe in it, every day you will grow in faith and believe that it is actually possible. Small steps always lead to bigger steps. So you may think that I can’t build this huge thing, but small steps always get bigger. And that’s okay. Baby steps, right? Failure is a part of the victory. We think that when we pursue something from God, we can’t fail. But Peter still sank, right? However, all of that was preparing him to fulfill his destiny as Peter, the bishop of Rome, one of the greatest men of God who has ever lived! |
Prayer
Thank you, God, for baby steps. You will get me to exactly where I need to be.
Reflection
How can you truly see what you can be today?
