“ ‘If you can’?’ said Jesus. ‘Everything is possible for one who believes.’ ”
– Mark 9:23
Faith is not something we receive simply by praying, even though prayer is vital and something we should do every day. Nor does faith come only through worship, even though worship also is important and uplifting. The Bible, specifically in Romans 10:17, teaches us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. This means that when we listen to, read, and reflect on the word of God, our faith grows stronger. The more we fill our minds with God’s promises and truth, the more our faith increases. My friend, even for those who may not hear the word of God physically, faith still comes through receiving the word of God, whether through reading, sign language, or other means. The key is to consistently expose yourself to God’s word. If you want more faith, spend time reading, listening to, and even memorizing scripture. This principle—the law of belief—applies to every part of your life. When you fill your heart and mind with the Word of God, along with the assistance of the Holy Spirit, your beliefs will be transformed, and as a result, your whole life can be changed for the better! |
Prayer
Holy Spirit, guide me to embrace the law of belief in every part of my life.
Reflection
How can you intentionally fill your heart and mind with God’s word each day, so that your faith becomes stronger and you live with renewed confidence and joy?
