“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
– 2 Chronicles 7:14
![]() When circumstances are difficult, it’s easy to believe that they’ll stay that way forever. Especially in times like the present — as we’re repeatedly pounded by trials and challenges — our human psyche adapts by “lowering the bar” and expecting things to stay hard. It’s important to fight against this tendency, however, because the truth is that for every dark season, there’s a brighter one just over the horizon. In fact, our existence is composed of a series of waves that manifest in both hills and valleys. While a year like this can seem indefinite, one of the greatest ways to hasten the swell of good times again is to pray. The Bible tells us that if we’ll assume a posture of humility, confess our sins and shortcomings, and seek His presence with passion and gusto, our Savior will take heed and forgive us. In fact, when this happens on a mass scale, it has a multiplied impact that carries the potential to heal a society from the inside out. As we pursue Jesus with chutzpah — or stubborn, undaunted faith — He responds by filling us with a fire that warms the hearts of others and draws them closer to His healing light. Then, as those whom we touch seek His Spirit in response, their hope becomes contagious and “infects” more people with His life-changing power. As this multiplication continues, the whole world will be transformed as a result! My friend, praying fervently and fiercely is the best way to renew your perspective and bring about better things in your family, your community, and your country. When you set aside a few moments each day to cry out to Jesus in repentance and to petition Him for healing in your own life and on behalf of your leaders, He will hear and respond to your passionate pleas. Great changes come through the humble confessions of many contrite and faith-filled hearts, so beseech your Savior for His best, and expect Him to transform difficult times and circumstances as a result! |
Prayer
Jesus, I confess my sins today, and I turn my heart toward you. Make me passionate about the things that excite you, and use me to heal this land.
Reflection
Will you commit to praying regularly for your leaders — and your country — for the next 30 days?

Amen!
I hope and pray that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will do whatever they can to set our country back on the right path.Especially now so with the Covid-19 pandemic still raging out of control .I do not like division and hatred. President Donald Trump is not doing what he was elected to do.To bring people of all nations together. But instead of unity..He has divided and that is wrong. We need to get a firm grip on this situation and work toward a long lasting solution. That is why I am asking God to bless our newly elected leaders with wisdom and strength to put forth their ideas and plans for what is best for all of us .I hope and pray that the Hour of Power will continue its mission of reaching out to the lost and hurting people around the World
