Merry Christmas! I hope you have some wonderful days with family, celebrating the birth of Christ, our Savior! On this Christmas Day, I want to talk about the Spirit of Jesus that lives in you. In the Bible, that Spirit is most often referred to as the comforter. And I think the Holy Spirit is called the comforter because when you have the Spirit of Christ in you, you never give up. You never lose hope and you keep hope alive. You can have hope, no matter how hard things get, especially this Christmas. You trust God and live in the reality of a God-bathed world in which God is a giver, not a taker. God is a blesser, not a curser. God made you, and He cherishes and loves you. And you say: What about all my sin? Well, that is what the cross is for. What about all the mistakes I make? God loves you. God wants to bless you. He wants you to overcome. |
