“Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding.”
– Proverbs 4:6-7
![]() What does it mean to live in God’s Kingdom? Do you have an idea? The Kingdom of God is the place where God’s will is carried out; it is the place where He reigns supreme! More specifically, it is a place where individuals follow Jesus’ instructions and live as He directed. In essence, the Kingdom of God is made up of people who are morally wise and knowledgeable. More than everything else in the world, I believe in Jesus’ teachings. In fact, I am confident that if you live by the Sermon on the Mount, even if you are an atheist, your life will be better. This is because I believe that what Jesus is teaching in the red letters is common grace and that much of it is freely given to all. For example, whether or not they declare faith in Jesus, anyone who loves their enemies and prays for those who persecute them, or who settles disputes promptly with those who have harmed them will fare better in life. Why? Because He is the Creator of the Universe and has established these eternal rules. Friend, how much more will Jesus take care of you, His cherished child if His teachings bless even people who don’t have personal contact with Him? You have been set free from the shackles of worrying about the future and attempting to foresee what will happen next since you call Him both father and friend. Rather than anticipating disaster and turmoil, you will be converted into a rooted, established, and wise individual who can deal with anything life throws at you in His Kingdom. In reality, you’re being molded to be the type of person who can survive, if not thrive, in the midst of turmoil! Isn’t that wonderful news in light of the world’s craziness? |
Prayer
Thank you, Jesus, for giving me a miraculous sense of security that allows me to thrive in the midst of turmoil.
Reflection
Are you able to flourish in a world that is becoming increasingly chaotic? How may Jesus be of use to you?

Yes most definitely. I am able to flourish in this chaotic and crazy world. With all the threats of terror from groups such as Isis and Al Quida that are lurking out there. I cry out to God and he listens to me. He is my shield and stronghold, my fortress from destruction.I sometimes have trouble sleeping through the night. But he sends his Guardian Angels to keep warch over me.Our nation needs to be protected from evil. But the best thing is for all to get down on their knees and pray. We need prayer to answer the tough questions.I pray that the Hour of Power will continue its mission of spreading the good news of God to all around the world. To the Schuller
family. I ask that they are blessed with good health. To all at Shepherd’s Grove at Irvine Presbyterian Church, sending messages of peace love friendship and good tidings. To the musicians and choir along with their directors.
