“But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.”
– Luke 8:46
![]() When He asks, “Who touched me?” He teaches us that there are two ways to reach, or “touch” the Lord. In contrast, the first way is powerless, superficial, materialistic, and just a matter of going through the motions. The second way in which we can touch the Lord is through faith. You discover a deeper part of you with the knowledge that you have experienced some kind of change and transformation in your heart. Perhaps you experienced a new way to trust the Lord. When you reach for Him, your faith does not say, “I think I’ll be healed when I reach for Him,” but rather, “I know I will be healed.” Friend, the woman didn’t hesitate one bit in her decision-making. She didn’t think about being polite because Jesus had a lot of people around Him vying for his attention and time. There is nothing like that in her thoughts or words. The opportunity was there for her and she knew that if she could just get there, she would be healed. I think we can all agree today that she was ready for her healing. Her faith was full and overflowing. This is an excellent example of how we can touch Jesus with our faith! |
Prayer
Thank you, Father, for changing and increasing my faith.
