“Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.”
-Philemon 1:7

I believe that thankful people remain happier people in the long term for two reasons:

1. Thankful people invite the blessing of others. They invite loyalty, generosity, and health. And, the more thankful you are, the more people will get in line behind you to help you.

2. Being thankful to another person, even for the little things, is a way to really love someone. Few things feel more loving in this world than when someone you love, live with, or do life with comes to you and says, “Thank you.” And, doing the thanking brings happiness to your soul.

So, be thankful and thank others. That is God’s recipe for true happiness.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I am thankful to you and thankful to so many others for the blessings in my life each day. I will continually praise you for you are my Lord and Savior. I love you. Amen.

REFLECTION: Have you ever experienced special blessings because you, first, expressed gratefulness?
