Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

John 14:27

We have to pay attention to what we think about. Because of all of our thoughts, the most destructive, the most harmful, and the most crippling thoughts are worry, anxiety, and fear. Do you struggle with that? If you say no, you’re probably lying. Fear is as human as an emotion as it comes. Throughout our lives, we typically carry two types of emotions or thoughts: thoughts of love, passion, and goodness, or thoughts of dread, fear, and anxiety. And both of these kinds of thoughts are going to affect our decisions.

Prayer

God, help me to focus on my emotions of love, passion, and goodness, and not to be overwhelmed by thoughts of dread, fear, and anxiety.
