“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”
– Hebrews 11:6
If you’ve never run a marathon before, hitting mile 18, 19, or 20 might make you think, “I can’t possibly go another six miles.” So, reaching the wall and realizing there are still miles to go can feel overwhelming. What gets a person through isn’t just training, but the belief that they can push past the wall. Every marathoner knows the wall is coming—they may not know exactly when, but they recognize it as soon as it hits. That’s the moment when they must dig deep and trust what they know to be true, even as their body screams, “I don’t feel good,” “this isn’t good for you,” “stop,” or “this isn’t possible for someone like me.” My friend, every runner hits a wall at some point. Marathoners trust what is written: the wall will come, but you have what you need to finish. The same is true in life. If you’re facing a wall right now, remember—you have what it takes to keep going. Faith in God doesn’t make things easy, but it does make every victory possible. |
Prayer
Father, when I reach a wall, help me rely on Your strength so I can press on and claim victory.
Reflection
When you hit what feels like an impossible barrier, how do you lean into your faith and keep moving forward?
