“The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith!’ He replied, ‘If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.’ ”

– Luke 17:5-6

Here’s what faith is — it’s a seed, not an event, feeling, emotion, or even saying, “I believe!” I emphasized yesterday that it’s a seed of faith, the seed of the Word of God, that changes your life. The seed of faith is something you plant. It either grows or dies, and if it lives, it is cultivated until it is fully mature, and then it is harvested. As a matter of fact, seeds can destroy mountains and tear bricks, marbles, and diamonds in half. It is possible for seeds to do anything they want, but they must be nurtured, planted, and not devoured.

This is how you move the biggest mountain in your life — which is often you — you plant some seeds. This is what Jesus tells us. Plant the seed of God’s word for a different experience of life, a new future, heart, mind, bank account, and friendships. Plant the seeds for places you want to travel, and activities you want to create. Here’s the really good news about you being the biggest mountain in your own life: it’s possible for you to plant the seed of God’s word to bring about positive change!

Friend, being well and the possibility of thriving is available for you. It is possible for you to achieve your dreams. You can have not just more in life, but more than enough. All the places you’re called to go are possible for you. Even after so many years, you can still create the incredible occasions and memories that were set before you. God wants you to plant those seeds in your life today!

Prayer

Father, I pray that you will plant good seeds of faith in my life through your Word.
