Willpower Leads to Success

“But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.”

2 Timothy 4:5

Studies show that success in every aspect of life — whether it’s relationally, in your business, or something else — it links most to one thing: willpower. It’s the ability to carry on when it gets hard, and it’s to have the resilience that when we fall down, we get back up! We decide: I’m going to keep going. I’m going to get to my harvest season and I’m going to plant now. And if there’s a fire or a flood, I’m going to keep planting. I’m going to keep tending. I’m going to keep living in the rhythms of what I’m supposed to be. When you have a long term mission and vision for your life, it allows you to have the willpower to endure the things that can derail you. I know a lot of you are going through a lot, but I want to convince you that God has called you to live for something much bigger than whatever tragedy you’re going through. You will not be known for your tragedy. You will be known for your victory. And your victory will come, because you foster the right kind of thinking. If you foster a vision of who you want to be and where you want to get, instead of blaming other people or falling into self pity or despair, you choose to take one step at a time towards that mountain.

Thank you Lord, for giving us strength and willpower to endure. Sustain our faith and lead us to victory, one step at a time.

  1. I am a victorious, victimless, glorious, vibrant, gave it all to Jesus, person. I gave Him my life and will, past and present and beyond. He allows freedom of speech. He allows for freedom of choice. He allows everyone who asks of His Kingdom to Come. Tickets in volumes unheard of before, grant entry into His marvelous ‘Light’. Bring your ‘Crowd’. Bring from the hi-ways and byways. Invite all who are far and near; bring a loaf of bread and 5 fishes to share for all watching. Featured Speaker: Jesus Christ; standing room only at this shout out; bring a chair and blanket; bring your children and spouse. ALL are welcome. Love Andrea
