“Anyone who welcomes you welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.”
– Matthew 10:40
![]() Over the next several days, I’m going to show you how to use fear and stress to your advantage. Yes, there is a positive side to these emotions. There’s a philosophy that’s helped me tremendously and it’s to view fear and stress as something you can use to your benefit — as a compass, a source of strength, and as a sign of what you really desire in life. I find it amazing how Jesus’ 12 disciples were unknown fishermen and teenagers 2,000 years ago, but here we are because they believed and acted on the Word of God. It’s in and of itself a testament to what you can accomplish when you simply have faith and trust in God. Just as they were called, you are also called to be a gift to the world! You were born to do something great: To change culture and change society. The Bible says we are created in God’s image, and if God is anything other than love, He is a creator. Take a look at the universe we live in, all the colors, shapes, and variety in all things. Yet God is still creating today. To be made in His image is to also be a creator and a doer. Whenever we give in to fear, we betray the gift we are called to be. As soon as you decide to explore the scary thing you’re afraid of, your world expands. Friend, it’s your call to be a gift. Let’s become people who do it now. Let’s become the brave people who the Lord needs, even if it means doing silly things simply to show we will not be afraid! Let’s be creative and expand the world for the Kingdom of God! |
Prayer
As a gift to the world, Father, show me what I can accomplish.
Reflection
Can you see how God has made you a gift to the world? How do you see yourself serving others?
