You Are Born for Greatness

“So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.“

– Genesis 1:27

Our first belief should be that we are created in God’s image. It doesn’t matter if you are a Christian or not. To become full of power, full of life, and to do all that you have been called to do, you have to embrace the understanding that you are made in God’s image. He loves you and you are His child. This image isn’t just your physical body, but also what’s happening on the inside. It can be said that we are born for greatness. We all can believe that our lives were destined to be great, to be meaningful, to make a difference, to leave the world in a better place than we found it. That good desire comes from the Lord and I hope you grab hold of this for a great future. Churches and communities should nurture this kind of spirit. The bible states in Hebrews 12:1: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Notice the word “great;” these are great people who have gone before us.

Friend, God calls you to greatness as well! The exciting thing about this is that we get to join people we know well, such as our family members, friends, ancestors, and even people we don’t know, but they know us. Even now, they’re watching you from Heaven, can you believe it? They’re cheering you on and saying, “Go, go, go!” You may have lost someone you love, but I want you to know they are cheering you on. Believe that you were born for greatness and strive to be the best!

Prayer

Father, help me walk in greatness and strive to be the best I can be.

  1. This was helpful. My husband of 46 years died unexpectedly on June 2nd. He was my rock. All I do is cry. Please pray for me and my family.

  3. Oh yes most definitely. That is my philosophy.I so firmly believe that I’m am destined for greatness.Even though I have a learning disability
That doesn’t deter me from gaining a wide knowledge of so many interesting and new things. For example, working in my father’s reed business has been such a rewarding experience. That has enabled me the opportunity of going to various music industry trade shows and of course seeing my favorite jazz tenor sax player Stan Getz in person.I hope and pray that the Hour of Power will continue its mission of spreading the Good news of God and his healing messages of love and peace to all around the world. To Pastor Bobby Schuller and his beautiful family.I pray that God will bless them with good health and happiness for the rest of this year and for many more to come. And for the worshiping community of Shepherd’s Grove at Irvine Presbyterian Church.Messages of friendship, love and peace. To the musicians and choir along with their directors, messages of appreciation and thank you’s for the glorious and uplifting music and singing

  5. Good morning dear brothers and sisters,
could someone please tell me the Bible verse where it says that
someone I lost is watching me from heaven and cheering me on?
Thank you and God bless you!

  6. I do believe I am, just not sure for what exactly. I’m married and a mom of a 26 year old daughter and a 19 year old son whom I have, through blood sweat and tears raised in the Word to believe in Jesus, and they both do. Sometimes I think that was/is my destiny. Really not so sure. Trusting in Jesus because I feel they’re could be more.
