“Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.”
– 1 Peter 5:8-9
We have to let go of proving ourselves to our religion, proving ourselves to society, or even proving ourselves to our parents, or our siblings, or our competitors. Today, God has a word for you and this is the word: You do enough. You are enough. You’re a beloved son or daughter of God. You are loved. You are so loved. And you’re doing so much better than you think. We’re saved by grace through faith.
With you, God, I am enough. Help me to remember this, every day.
How can you let go of feeling like you need to prove yourself to others?
